I just reordered 10 pounds of Seed Ranch's dichondra repens because my first 5 pound order last year worked out so well. We live just north of Athens, GA, and this zone 7 area is generally considered too cold to support dichondra. It is not even sold in the garden stores here. However, it's the perfect ground cover for a large, damp, wind-sheltered, wooded area near our pond. I planted the 5 pounds last summer to see how well it would cope with our winter weather. Even though we had a cold winter, with the lows for about 30 days in the teens and a couple of snowfalls, the dichondra came through the winter just fine and is growing and spreading well this spring. So I've just planted a larger area and will see how it does. What is clear is that Seed Ranch dichondra is high quality seed that is easy to plant and maintain if you follow the instructions they provide.
